New vanity install in Landisville

Here you can see we are setting the new vanity, medicine cabinet and flylight after we drywalled, mudded, and painted the surrounding area. If you take notice to the baseboard, we matched as close as possible to the origianal baseboards throughout the house. Pics of the completed bathroom coming soon. It is hard to tell but this bathroom has a pale yellow color on the wall that blends everything together quite nicely.

Bathroom Floors in Landisville, PA

This whole project was so much fun. I was not very familiar with Bamboo flooring before this project. It installs just like any hardwood floor would but the gain in the floor is very different. We decided on the horizontally stacked floor. It is also available in Vertically stacked (how the bamboo shoots are engineered together on each plank). We purchased this material from JC Snavely which is just down the road. I purchased the nails there and they allowed me to use there diagonal nailer for free.

Bathroom Vanity in Landisville, PA

This vanity was fun and a bit challenging. At first we were not going to replace the vanity, then the home owners decided too, which was a great decision. But what that did was push the new floor install back a few weeks until the vanity came in. I did not want to rip out the old vanity and install the new bamboo floor and not have a functional bathroom. So once the vanity and cabinetry came in then we were back to it. Homeowners ordered a taller vanity and a taller medicine cabinet with a flylight above it than what was there previously. Add it all together and now I need to raise the "coffin space" above the sink a few inches to make it all fit. It's a lot of extra work but again it is worth to have that show piece of a finished product.

Porch in Mill Creek

I don't why I forget to take pictures of the before and after but here is a pic of a porch in the community of Mill Creek that I sanded and stained. I think it was a Rosewood stain purchased at Lowe's but it was a really nice deep red-ish color. Is was very nice. We did a few little things while here for this. We fixed a cabinet door in the kitchen, hung a shutter that had blown off and fixed a sliding door so it would shut right and lock.

Bathroom in Landisville

This is the already into the bathroom remodel in Landisville, PA. We forgot to take pictures of the very beginning but, till it was all said and done, it was pretty much gutted and redone. We don't have pics of the floor being ripped out but here we are taking out the older thin plastic tub surround and installing a new Swanstone tub surround with the accessories from Weinsteins Supply in Lancaster, PA. This bathroom project has been a few months in the making because material availabilty and the flexiblity of the home owners and myself through the decision making process. I like to think that I am very flexible with my clients and allow them the room to change things on the fly and help create a finished product that they can thoroughly enjoy for many years to come, even if it means spending extra time on a project.

Painting in Litiz, PA

This is a little painting job we did that has led into other work in this home. Again I forgot to take before pics, but the area was very rough. The paint was peeling off the wall and there were a lot of cracks that would have been an eye sour against this cream colored paint. So we scraped the old paint off, primed the area with Killz, caulked and filled in all the cracks. This color goes well with the wall paper in the kitchen, which was not easy to match b/c it was two colored vertical stripes, but the folks at Bomberger's Store in Lititz did a great job.
